Lust Item: Stripes!!

I know stripes may be hard to pull off, especially when they are wide and an all over pattern, but there is something so classic about a striped top.  This spring stripes are a major trend, however I think they are always in style.  The combination of black and white or navy and white can be so easily worn.  These lovely ladies were my inspiration for this week's lust item.

Look of the Week: SAG Arrivals

Of course everyone's seen the Golden Globes' arrivals on television and in the magazines. But the lesser-watched Screen Actor's Guild Awards also had some amazing fashion. Here's a peek of our faves:

Lust Item: Chanel Nailpolish

Although we are still feeling the cold outside I am already thinking of spring and the fresh colors that it brings.  I am obsessed with doing my nails and right now I am loving the new limited edition polishes from Chanel called Particuliere (Putty Grey), Tendresse (Pale Salmon Pink), and Inattendu (Warm Nude).  These polishes come out on January 29.  Can't wait!!!

However in the meantime, I purchased a dusty mauve polish from Zoya called Nikki which is kinda cute amd Melanie which is more of a baby pink.  They may not be Chanel but still very in line with the trend. Let me know what you guys think?

I heart Marc

It is so unfair for us Canadians not to have a Marc Jacobs store. He has so many great accessories at such affordable prices. The store is usually really packed with people and filled with great stuff.  So whenever you guys make your trip to NYC be sure to stop by the store on Bleaker.

These studded belts can be used alone or in combination with flannel shirts and long tops.  Very rocker chic!

Great Viewing Material!

Over the holidays I finally had some time to watch Valentino: The Last Emperor, a documentary about Valentino's great career.  The movie is fantastic, funny and very interesting.  You get a sneak peak into his personal life and career as a haute couture designer. Check it out, it's super cool!

Also very interesting is the September Issue, a documentary about Anna Wintour, the editor and chief of Vogue. You really get a sneak peak into the fashion world and an idea of what really goes into producing a magazine. Check this one out too!





Another must see is the tv series Rachel Zoe Project. This one is about the life of Rachel Zoe and how she runs her business. She is a stylist to the stars and currently dresses the most famous people in Hollywood such as Demi Moore, Anne Hathaway and Liv Tyler. I love, love , love this show! Wish I had her job!
