My new fav boutique: Boutique 1861

With its pastel pink decor, reminiscent of classy Victorian style, Boutique 1861 (1861 Ste-Catherine St West) is my new fave boutique in town. It's been at it's Ste-Catherine (near St-Marc) location for almost a year now, but it's only recently that I walked in to see its unique pieces and style. The collections are made up of little romantic tops with a Marie-Antoinette twist, chic yet functional cardigans, dresses à-la-Serena-Van-De-Woodsen, classic pump shoes to edgy boots. Some labels they carry are Cocolilly, Soaked and French Connection.  They receive new merchandise once a week, so each visit is as exciting as the first!

Also worth a visit is their sister store, Razberry http://www.razberry.ca/

Cool Montreal Boutique

I recently visited Unicorn at 5135 St Laurent and loved the selection of clothing, jewelery and great decor.  They have both international and local designers and a great mix of casual and work wear.  Check it out when in the area!

New Blog: Miss Workin'Girl

For those of you who are reading this blog, a big thank you! I have always been in love with fashion and use this blog as an outlet. However, I have wanted to create a new blog for us working gals out there for some time. The concept of the blog is to give career women ideas on what to wear to work. So I will be posting complete outfits to give us independent women ideas on new trends and celebrity inspired outfits for the working environment . Many of the blogs out there are for younger, trendier girls who go to school, go out at night and just hang out. This blog has a completely different vibe, so please check out my new blog called Miss Workin'Girl !!

The Ultimate Summer Sneaker

Bensimon sneakers are the Parisian girl's version of the Converse.  They are so classic that even Jane Birkin picked up a pair after they were introduced in Europe.  I especially love the slip on version which I personally got in blue and have been wearing all summer.  These sneakers are great because they are comfortable and easy to wash.  Certain models can be found at Little Burgundy and Lola & Emily.  Wish I could find the high tops below!  Check out Keri Russell in hers:

Classic style: Jackie O

Jackie O is a style icon and still inspires people today.  Check out these celebs and how they are channeling her great classic style.  To achieve this look you definately need big sunglasses, a great trench and a chic airport style!
