Boutique Profile: JAMES

James boutique is like a treasure tucked away from the busy streets of St.Catherine.  As soon as you walk in you are greeted by friendly salespeople (Clara and Pascale) who provide this very intimate shopping experience.  The selection of jeans, casual wear, dresses and accessories have been specifically selected by the three owners who have similar but distinct styles.  This boutique has a great selection of brands for stand out pieces in your wardrobe like American Retro, Graham and Spencer and Madison Marcus.  They also have fabulous accesories from Rebecca Minkoff and Felix Roy for bags and Right Hand Gal (Montreal based) for cool jewelry.  There is also a large variety of jeans from Genetic, J Brand, Paige, and Hudson to name a few.  This is my favorite store in Montreal and you guys should all have a visit!  Check them out at 4910 Sherbrooke West.

As you can see the store has a great layout and presentation..
It's got that closet-like feel (one of the ones I dream of)!

Lust Item : Anything fur!!!!

I am really loving everything from fur accessories, vests to short fur coats.  Check out these great items from Harricana, a Montreal based company who uses recycled furs to create new items.  I love the concept and its environmentally friendly approach.  Here are some of my favorite items from their collection.  You can see these and more from  their collection on their webiste: http://www.harricana.qc.ca/.

Love the way that the vest is paired with a simple tee and lace up pants.  Similar faux fur vests can be found at Zara (see below).  Again it is paired with a simple top and leggings.  Let the vest speak for itself!

Celeb Look of the Week - Reese Witherspoon

Reese Witherspoon is always such a stylish and classy lady, on top of being an amazing actress!

She wore this outfit for an appearance on Good Morning America. This is such a cute fall outfit!

With thicker tights (higher denier; here, she is probably wearing 80 denier), dresses and short skirts can continue to be worn during the long winter months.
Why is she begging? Reese shouldn't have to beg for anything!

She's wearing grey booties, that were Sabby V's lust item of the week a couple of weeks ago.
Hmm the red sole makes me suspect these are Louboutin's!

I love how this dress cinches at the waist and the skirt is just loose at the hips and thighs, giving it a cute look. The color and short sleeves still give it a more adult look, making it appropriate work attire (except the skirt is maybe a little too short).
I love the color of this dress (navy). I don't wear navy enough... some kid in high school once told me that navy and black together was a 'fashion-don't' and I've been traumatized ever since... LOL

Hmm, I really wonder what they're talking about?
She's got this face of "Um dude, that was funny, but really inappropriate."

Soïa & Kyo - Montreal Fashion Week

Soïa & Kyo fashion show at Montreal Fashion Week
Yup, I'm a little belated on this post given that Montreal Fashion Week was already more than a couple of weeks ago! My bad. The week of Montreal Fashion Week was a crazy week for both Sabby V and I as we not only had the shows, but we had to get ready for a work-trip to Miami a few days later! We've been in Miami for the last two weeks, and so that's why we've been so quiet!

So back to Montreal Fashion Week--we got the chance to attend the Soïa & Kyo fashion show at Marché Bonsecours. We were super excited about this cause both of us just looove their coats!

Here are some pics from their Spring/Summer collection.
BIG THANK YOU again to Peipei for being are amazing photographer!!!

The fashion show opened and closed with Karine Vanasse, Quebec actress and star, best-known for her role in Séraphin, Un homme et son péché (such a sad movie!). She also just recently hosted Les Jutras...  Anyway, we don't have a picture of her opening the show, but we've got a couple of her in the last showcased coat (scroll down to take a look).

Lust Item: Gossip Girl Winter Coats

Winter coats in Montreal are a must, and since it is so long I invest in a couple.  A grey one is great since it can be worn with both black and brown clothing.  This one featured below on Serena from Gossip Girl is beautiful because of the intricate flower detail on the collar.  I love the one on Hilary Duff because it is classic black with a twist.  The ruffle detail is so cute!  Blair of course has the most stunning coat ever.  Gorgeous big collar with pleating on top and puffy at the bottom.
Your coat is usually the first thing people will see for 6 months and so I would recommend buying one which is unique and good quality (wool or cashmere).  My favorite brand is Mackage of course (Montreal based company) because of their great fit and fabrics.  Check out their newest collection: http://www.mackage.com/.  They even have a Sabrina coat !!!
